A College Girls Guide to Corporate Dressing

If you step on LSU's campus on any typical weekday, you will notice a clothing trend among the college-aged women there. Almost every girls is dressed in athletic shorts, tennis shoes, and an over-sized t-shirt.

This unofficial uniform is so common because it's easy and comfortable. I admit, it's what I wear every day to class and I love it!

What happens though when these girls have to transition from the classroom to the corporate workplace? This was the question I faced when I started working as the marketing intern for a law firm this summer.

As a twenty-something, dressing for work can be tricky. It is important to look put together and professional, while still staying true to your style.

I find that the best way to do this is by finding the perfect fit, keeping clothing modest, and incorporating some color.

Event Recap: Delta Zeta’s Turtles and Ties

Lizzie McCulla, an alumna of Deta Zeta and a Graphic Design student at LSU, designed the flyer for the event.

On Monday, September 25, the Delta Zeta chapter at LSU hosted a brand new philanthropic fundraising event called Turtles and Ties. This event was the first of its kind at LSU and it turned out to be a huge success, raising over $1,000 for Delta Zeta's local and national philanthropies.

Welcome back!

I am so excited to announce that I am officially able to post on Pey it Forward and turn it into something fun and personal!

Pey it Forward originated in 2014, the spring of my freshmen year of college, when I had to create a blog for a class project. From that time, I posted infrequently for my various public relations classes, which helped me establish my voice as a writer.

This semester, for another public relations class, I have been assigned the task of developing and managing a blog on the topic of my choice. So while I am still posting for a class, I am finally able to blog and write about whatever I want - which is something that I was excited and nervous about.

This semester has been a whirlwind, so when I was assigned this project, I wasn't sure what I would write about. This realization made my blog topic an easy choice though. I decided to turn Pey it Forward into a lifestyle and personal development blog - since I am still learning and developing throughout my college career.

I am excited to share my thoughts on organization and finding balance in college while staying involved in sorority life, working as an intern, giving back to my community, enjoying time with friends, and staying committed to my faith and my family.

Ready for a sneak peek at what is to come? Over the next few weeks I will be posting a few things that I am so excited to share! Stay tuned for:
