Event Planning | Feminine Bridal Shower

This weekend, my mom and I had the most fun hosting a bridal shower brunch for my cousin who is getting married in July.

We stuck with a classic, feminine theme and decorated accordingly with flowers, hand lettered signs, and lots of gold accents.

We had a ton of incredible food and a coffee station. For a personal touch, we added pictures of my cousin from when she was little to now with her fiance.

Of course, no brunch would be complete without a mimosa bar!

As a party favor and fun shower activity, we had a "Make Your Own Bath Salts" station which was a huge hit! We found a recipe online for the bath salts, got some great smelling essential oils, and ordered the jars from Amazon. I've always wanted to learn how to do hand lettering and calligraphy, so I loved experimenting and making the tags!

Bye, BR

Y'all, I have a confession to make...I have never truly been away from home.

Yes, I moved into a dorm, and apartment, and eventually my sorority house for college, but I have lived in Baton Rouge my entire life and I've never been gone for more than a few weeks at a time.

Living in Baton Rouge for so long though has its perks because I have gown up in an area with some of the most incredible food, festivals, and culture!

Now, as I prepare to leave my city for the summer, I need to soak up all of the food and fun that this city has to offer! What better way to do that, than by making a list of my favorite places in Baton Rouge?!

One Week in Cabo San Lucas

My last spring break of college was the best one yet!

Four of my friends and I spent a week in the beautiful Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and had the most incredible time!

We knew that we wanted to have a relaxing week (especially after the very active spring break we had the previous year) so our days were spent between lounging on the beach and by the pool.

What I didn't realize was how hot it would be, so my tip for anyone traveling to Cabo is to bring fun beach hats and more sunscreen than you think you will need!

There are so many great restaurants to choose from in Cabo and it was a plus that many of them were within walking distance of our resort. These were my favorites:

  • The Office - It's right on the beach, there's live entertainment at night, and the decor is so festive!
  • Mango Deck - this bar/restaurant is so fun!
  • Billygan's - The food is amazing! (I've never had better shrimp fajitas!)

While we were there, we also took a boat ride to the famous arch and walked around the marina. The arch is beautiful (and a great spot for photos), so I highly recommend paying for a boat ride out there!

It was bittersweet knowing that this was our last spring break and that it may be hard to plan another girls trip after we graduate, but we had an amazing time and I can't wait to go back!

Camera Roll Roundup: 2016 Gameday Trends

I cannot believe that this was my final football season as a college student! I'm still in denial that I won't be able to sit with all of my sorority sisters in the student section next year...

This has been a season filled with ups and downs for LSU (from getting a new quarterback, losing our beloved mascot, and gaining a new head coach), but a great season for gameday fashion trends.

Here are a few of my favorite trends from this past season, as well as my favorite snaps from Saturdays filled with tailgating and tiger football:
